Floqer raises $2M and plans to open-source its AI-powered sales research database
Floqer’s AI agents scan 100+ data sources and continuously update prospect records, with customers reporting up to 70% less prospecting time. The eight-person startup has 1,000+ customers, $1.2M ARR and plans an open-source release in early 2027.
Floqer, a startup that automates customer research for business-to-business sales teams, pitched at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on October 14, 2026, and announced plans to open-source the technology behind its autonomous customer knowledge database, targeting an early 2027 release pending security reviews.
The company’s platform uses AI agents to search across more than 100 third-party data sources, building lists of relevant companies and contacts based on user-defined criteria. It also monitors the web continuously, updating customer records when a prospect changes jobs, receives a promotion, or their employer raises new funding. According to Floqer, customers have reported cutting prospecting time by as much as 70%.
Floqer was founded in 2024 by CEO Shivam Mahajan, formerly a software engineer at Kyndryl, and Zaaheda Islam, formerly a senior data scientist at Axis Capital, who met at university. The company has eight employees and more than 1,000 customers, including Perplexity, Wise, and AngelList. It has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding from investors including Perplexity’s F7 Fund, N49P, Tidal Venture Partners, and Perplexity co-founder Denis Yarats.
Floqer says it has surpassed $1.2 million in annual recurring revenue and that overall revenue has grown roughly tenfold over the past year. The company began as a Chrome extension called “Super Chat” before pivoting after discovering that enterprise customers were using it to clean CRM data — a process Mahajan described as largely manual with few established processes.
The decision to open-source the database stems partly from customer demand. Mahajan said some companies want to host their own data rather than store it within a vendor’s platform, while others want to modify or build on top of the technology. Before the public release, Floqer is conducting security reviews given that the database holds sensitive customer information and is already in use by large companies.
