In August 2026, Lawfare reported that Grokipedia had not reviewed edits since April. The platform’s live updates site is now showing recent changes to pages, though many of those changes consist only of a note reading “recheck all references and sources.”
The resumption of activity appears uneven across the site. The page for President Barack Obama shows a “Fact-checked by Grok” timestamp from two days ago, and the page for Elon Musk was fact-checked within the last hour at the time of reporting. By contrast, the page for Honolulu was last fact-checked seven months ago, suggesting not every page has received a recent scan.
A reporter testing the platform submitted a suggested update to the Gears of War: E-Day page to note the game’s October 6th release date. Grokipedia accepted the suggestion and now lists the date. A separate request for an article about Meta’s Muse chatbot was placed “In Review” at the time of writing.
The return of activity at Grokipedia may suggest the platform is resuming normal operations after its extended dormancy, though the inconsistent fact-check timestamps across pages indicate the update process could still be incomplete or ongoing.
