JustWatch Launches Streaming Service With Free, Paid, and Rental Tiers
JustWatch TV debuts across 12 markets with content from 30 partners, including Paramount, Cineverse, and New Regency. Its $3.99/month Plus tier unlocks 300+ titles and ad removal, while rentals initially cover five markets and get a 10% subscriber discount.
JustWatch, best known as a search engine for finding content across platforms like Netflix and Disney Plus, launched its own streaming service on October 20, 2026. Called JustWatch TV, the service is now live through the company’s existing mobile apps and website.
JustWatch TV is available in 12 markets at launch, including the US, Canada, the UK, France, Italy, and Australia. Content comes from 30 global partners, including Bleecker Street, Cineverse, Fremantle, New Regency, and Paramount, alongside region-specific providers.
The service offers three tiers. JustWatch TV Free provides a curated selection of titles supported by ads at no cost. JustWatch TV Plus, priced at $3.99 per month, removes ads and unlocks over 300 titles along with additional app features — including the ability to hide disliked or already-watched shows from the guide. A lifetime subscription to JustWatch TV Plus is also available for $49.99. JustWatch TV Store, a movie rental option, is initially limited to the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand; Plus subscribers receive a 10 percent discount on rentals.
JustWatch announced plans for the streaming service last month before today’s launch. According to TechCrunch, the company believes the value of the user data it collects will make the lifetime subscription worthwhile even if content costs rise over time.
For existing JustWatch users, the addition of a streaming layer to a platform they already use for content discovery could simplify how they find and watch titles — though the breadth of the free and paid libraries will likely determine how much traction the new service gains.
