Legal AI Startup Legora Raises $550M Series E at $8.8B Valuation
Legora says its annual recurring revenue has topped $200M, up from $100M in April, and plans to use the funding to expand across North America. Its valuation rose from $5.6B to $8.8B in six months, while rival Harvey is valued at $15.5B.
Legal AI startup Legora announced Wednesday, October 21, 2026, that it has raised a $550 million Series E round, valuing the company at $8.8 billion.
The round was led by Atreides Management, with participation from Baron Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Menlo, and other investors. Legora said it plans to use the capital to expand further across North America.
Legora builds software that automates and assists with workflow tasks for legal professionals, serving an industry that is moving beyond AI assistants toward AI services designed to help get work done.
The Series E comes roughly six months after Legora closed a $50 million extension of a $550 million Series D round in April 2026, which valued the company at $5.6 billion. At that time, Legora reported annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $100 million. The company said Wednesday that its ARR has since grown to over $200 million.
The fundraise also follows a similar move by Legora’s biggest competitor, Harvey, which announced a $550 million raise at a $15.5 billion valuation just one month prior. Harvey had also reported ARR of more than $200 million as of March 2026. The parallel figures suggest the two companies are competing closely on revenue, though Harvey’s valuation remains roughly twice that of Legora’s.
