Google unveiled Antigravity 2.0 at Google IO 2026, releasing an updated desktop app, a command-line interface (CLI) tool, and a software development kit (SDK) for its agentic coding platform. The announcements were made in May 2026.
The updated desktop app allows users to orchestrate multiple agents simultaneously, design custom subagent workflows, and schedule tasks to run automatically in the background. It also integrates with Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase. Much of the app’s functionality is powered by Google’s new Gemini 3.5 Flash model, which Google says was itself co-developed using Antigravity.
Google is also adding native voice command support to Antigravity, consistent with similar additions to its consumer products Gmail and Docs. The new Antigravity CLI tool is aimed at developers who prefer working in a terminal environment. Google is asking existing users of its Gemini CLI tool to migrate to the new Antigravity CLI.
The Antigravity SDK will allow developers to build custom agents using Google’s coding tool, with Google Cloud customers able to connect directly to Antigravity for project development. Enterprise users will have access to custom agent templates in AI Studio. Google is also adding an export tool to AI Studio so developers can move existing projects to a local environment.
On the consumer side, Google is applying Antigravity’s capabilities to Search, where users will be able to generate a custom UI in real time as part of a search answer and build mini-apps while exploring a topic.
Google is adjusting its subscription pricing alongside the launch. A new AI Ultra plan priced at $100 per month offers five times the AI usage limits of the Pro plan. The existing top-tier AI Ultra plan has been reduced from $250 to $200 per month, providing 20 times the limits of the Pro plan. Google originally launched Antigravity as a response to agentic coding tools such as Cursor.
