Adobe announced on Monday, September 2, 2026, that its apps are now accessible directly within Slack, allowing users to work with Adobe tools without leaving the messaging platform.
Through an integration with Slack’s AI chatbot, Slackbot, users can access Adobe apps including Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, and Lightroom. Users describe what they want to accomplish, and Slackbot calls the appropriate Adobe tool to complete the task, drawing on the context of existing Slack conversations. For example, users can pull information from conversations or Canvas and convert it into PDFs, images, or videos, and can bring in assets from previous campaigns or the Creative Cloud library to edit within a chat.
In addition to the Slackbot integration, more than 70 Adobe tools will be available through the Adobe for Slack MCP app. At launch, the integration is limited to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams.
Deepti Pradeep, Senior Director for Agentic AI at Adobe, told TechCrunch that users have been adopting these cross-app integrations for repeatable workflows such as batch-editing images or resizing creative assets. “Saving time, getting to the outcome they want faster without having to micromanage every step, being able to access Adobe wherever they’re already working,” Pradeep said of feedback gathered in focus groups.
The Slack integration follows a similar Adobe integration launched last month for ChatGPT, with a Gemini integration also planned. Adobe’s move reflects a broader pattern in which tool providers bring their features into conversational platforms where users already spend their time. Canva and Figma have made similar moves with ChatGPT and Claude, while Anthropic has pursued tighter Slack integrations of its own.
Pradeep noted that Adobe sees an advantage in offering both creative and productivity tools across different modalities as this cross-platform competition grows.
