AI fashion app Daydream launched two new features in September 2026 that let iPhone users shop directly from saved outfit photos and search for clothing through Siri without opening the app.
Both features were built using Apple’s iOS 27 developer tools, which officially rolled out on the same day. Users need an iPhone running iOS 27 with Siri AI enabled and the Daydream app installed to access them. The app is free to download.
The first feature draws on Apple’s image-context capabilities to analyze outfit photos already stored in a user’s Photos app. Daydream identifies individual pieces in the image — such as a sweater, pants, shoes, or accessories — and surfaces shoppable matches and similar styles from its catalog of roughly 3 million products. If the exact item is still available through a retailer, Daydream can link directly to it. If not, it returns similar alternatives. The feature can also handle variation requests; CEO and co-founder Julie Bornstein cited the example of a user saying, “I like this sweater but want it in red.”
The second feature allows users to search Daydream by voice or text through Siri. A user could say, “Hey Siri, search Daydream for a cool blazer for my board meeting on Monday,” and receive personalized results. Results can be further tailored if the user has completed Daydream’s “Style Passport,” which collects details such as sizes, preferred brands, personal style, and budget.
Bornstein positioned the launch as a step toward a longer-term goal of building a shopping agent. “This is one step toward the bigger vision — a shopping agent that understands someone’s style well enough to work across every surface in their life,” she told TechCrunch.
Daydream, which launched its app in 2025, says it has more than 1.5 million shoppers and carries products from more than 325 retailers and 10,000 brands, including Anthropologie, Gucci, Uniqlo, J.Crew, Reformation, and Nordstrom.
